Fall Fellowship is Here

Tue, 08/08/2017 - 11:35 -- admin

Fellow Arrowmen of Pellissippi Lodge 230,

Wow, it’s hard to believe that in just three days we will gather to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the first ordeal of our lodge.  We will gather at beautiful Camp Pellissippi for fun, fellowship and competition.  We will celebrate of our history and re-dedicate ourselves to the future.  Here are some important things to consider as you prepare for the weekend.  We are also still looking for some specialized volunteers (see below).  If you can help, please contact me (865) 804-1634 or our Lodge Adviser, Jeff Moser (865) 230-1178.

The event is a BYOT (bring your own tent) event.  Campsite assignments will be made early Friday and it will be based on registration.  There are adirondacks at camp but maybe not enough for a particular chapter, so please come prepared to sleep in a tent that you bring.

Work Day - August 5th

Tue, 08/01/2017 - 15:15 -- admin

Fellow Arrowmen,

Our 75th anniversary is right around the corner. It will be held on Aug 11th, 12th, and 13th at Camp Pellissippi. Which is super cool because our lodge's first Ordeal ceremony was held on August 12th, 1942. During the weekend you will be able to visit the original ordeal circle that was used in 1942 and see our lodge's history. We are also going to offer many fun activities that include shotgun, rifle, archery, canoeing, and mountain biking. The cost for the weekend is $35, but this includes the cost of a replica sash and neckerchief that will be given to you at registration. This will definitely be an event that you will not want to miss.

Pellissippi Lodge at National Jamboree

Mon, 07/31/2017 - 19:44 -- admin

The 2017 National Jamboree just wrapped up and Pellissippi Lodge was well represented in the contingent and on staff. The National Jamboree began July 19th and ended on July 28th. Dozens of Arrowmen from Pellissippi Lodge were part of the 3 troop and one crew contingent and took part in Jamboree activities including the Messengers of Peace Day of Service, shooting sports, scuba diving, riding ATVs, rock climbing and more. Participants also had the opportunity to visit the Summit Circle, which contains much of the original ceremony circle that was transplanted from Treasure Island.
